GOODBYE 2019!

THE CLOSING OF MY FALL SEMESTER

 Based on the title, it is time to announce that the end of the 2019 Fall Semester has finally come to an end. Throughout these past five months, I have learned that the In's and Out's of a communication major is journey of never ending work. 

   There were a lot of sleepless nights and long hours working on editing and correcting writing technique, but I do know that it will benefit me in the long run. I'm excited to give you guys a recap of my projects that I have created thought out my Electronic Media class. Hopefully, it will lead some of you to think of this art as a future major or career. 

So, lets cut the chit chat and hop right into what is my first step into being successful.

 My first project was the Linkedin project. If you have not checked out that post, I advise you to stop what your doing and go READ IT!! Like it is described in that post, Linkedin is a connection website for those searching for a job or looking for potential unemployed people in different fields. My Linkedin

      This website is great for those who are in college looking for an internship anywhere that relates to their field of study. Also it is a good way for young adults to learn how to broadcast themselves  professionally for those working in higher position.

TWITTER

My 2nd Project was the Twitter post. To be completely honest with you all, I was never a fan of Twitter; no social media at that. I just never saw what the hype was all about and I don't think I ever will know. However, creating this profile and posting has opened my eyes to all of the different categories and labels, so that you won't feel alone. There is always someone who can relate to you.

Using the right emjoi's, and hashtags, will result into people from all over dying to be your number one comment, like, or retweet. Speaking as of today, I hate to say that I have not been so active posting wise, but retweeting is a different story. I'm still trying to get into the swing of things so posting will be on hold for awhile.

Pinterest, Pinterest, PINTEREST!!!!! 

Now this is my 3rd project. This project was fun to do overall. I loved that I could create something that will reflect me in a more digital effect. If you do not know, Pinterest, is a crafting board full of ideas and creations by people from all over that put all of their energy into.

Each profile has different logs and boards reflecting that person, or his or her taste of interest.

GREEN SCREEN PRO

BEFORE BACKGROUND

Now the green screen project was my most hardest one. I say this because there were so many instructions to follow and if I missed one the overall picture would not come out as it should. As I said in my Green Screen project post , I used the BEST software there is; which is Adobe Premiere Pro.

The PC/Mac app is generated to edit just about anything under any condition. This project was assigned to each student to pick a place they have always wanted to be and take a picture using a green screen; posing as if they were in the picture. 

Here is my green screen creation. I placed myself in the mist of  an angry mob, which is totally opposite of what was assigned. I did that to show tell my viewers that the place you want to be may not be the place you need to be and to show my silly side.

FINAL PRODUCT

PRETTY PREZI

My Prezi Project is a project that was very creative and fun. It was a good way to learn about each of my classmates in thoughts of what we may have in common.

For those of you who do not know, Prezi is a site made to create PowerPoints, but not just any power point. Having the ability to choose a template that has reality visuals along with the zoom in and zoom out controls with every slide.

Here I'am, closing out this chapter of my life. I would like to thank my wonderful professors that has taught me this past semester. I hope that I can go down the right and successful path of the communications field. This class has taught me to be very brief when talking about a topic.Also, taught me how to embed links and become more social through different social media sites.

So, now speaking to my fellow followers, I now wish you a wonderful Christmas and a strong push for new beginnings for the start of a new decade. It's crazy how fast one decade goes, but what some do not know that within those years so many accomplishments has been recognized.

10 Daily Routine Must Do's

10 THINGS ABOUT ME IN 1 PREZI!

This week I decided to let all over my lovely friends know the top 10 things I have to do every day. So, attached is a prezi presentation briefly explaining what I have to do everyday in order for my day to turn out amazing. Be mindful I'm not a easy person to figure out, but an easy person to relate to.

WHAT IT TAKES TO WORK GREEN SCREEN MAGIC!

During my Electronic Media class, I was assigned an assignment using a green screen. . We were to pick a place or sanario to be in and blend our green screen picture into the setting. My setting was to be placed in a angry mob, but before everything was calm which resulted in my pose and caption. This whole project I use the Adobe premiere software. Let's see how I actually made this happen. 

1. I took a picture in the studio using the green screen background. Here is and example of the picture I took using the green screen. Here I imported this photo and the background photo using Adobe premiere. 

 2. Next I will present to you the background I will be blending my green screen photo in. Here is the background I will be using.

3. Last but not least here is the finally product of the two pictures. It's a little bit rusty,but hey you have to start somewhere. Now how I got to this finished product all I did was the following

• Change Sequence Setting frame (horizontal 1000, vertical 750)
• Dragged background shot in V1 in Storyboard.
• Dragged green screen photo to the V2 channel Storyboard. 
• Click Effect mode ( the right of Editing mode at the top) 
• Opened video Effects, then opened Keying 
• Double clicked Ultra Keying 
• Clicked timeline clicked on my Green Screen photo (Using the dragger tool) and dragged it to the screen over my Green Screen image. 
• This will cause the two photos to blend. 
• Last but not least I added my text of what my scenario is. 

INTRODUCING...THE SMOOTHEST.....JJ BROWN!

A while back I interviewed South Carolina University student JJ Brown. Just being able to communicate with him gave me a clear view of who he really is. Let's get to it!

So, to start things off he goes by the name of JJ Brown lol. He says it makes easier for those who can't seem to pronounce his name. For example, I could not pronounce his name right for anything so , he just told him to call him JJ. 

JJ is a 22 year old, journalism major. Brown likes to enjoy hanging out with his family and friends; as well as performing music with them at local bars or chill spots.

     I asked him what his long term goal would be he answered " To become on of the hottest radio host out". I believe that will be a big and successful move.He most definitely have the personality for that 

   Last but not least I asked him what would be his short term goal, and I think he won everyone's hearts with this answer,

" To graduate I guess" 

!SIDE NOTE!

I can honestly say that working with JJ Brown was very inspirational. He is always willing to put he best foot forward and never seems to give up on any given task.

The Peninsula Stories (review)

ABOUT KRIS

    Kris Bennett is a South Carolina State University Alumna who has taken the mass communications field under her wings. Starting off with a small campus vlog called " Bulldog Bite" Bennett has taking her producing skills to the next level. On Thursday, October 17th, Kris and her team came and premiered her first documentary film "The Peninsula Stories". The film is plotted around two individuals by the name of Ralph and Sid. Ralph and Sid were star basketball players who was on the path to a lifetime dream. 

 However, things didn't go as planned when Star player Sid was broadcasted all over the local news on his denial to play college ball. The reasoning for the rejection according to the news was that Sid's grades did not match their criteria. This was devastating for the residents of charleston because that was the home of Sid and just about everyone knew him. Yet, he doesn't let that stop him today he continues to teach basketball aside for his main occupation.

IN THE MAKING

Producer Kris Bennett, talked with the students enrolled in the communications department about the struggles that came with making this documentary. She mention that the hardest part about shooting was getting the interviewees to say what was needed on camera rather than off camera. "It was really hard for the people to not be so camera shy, they would say what I wanted them to say off camera instead of on camera" Bennett stated. Another struggle was editing, Kris made it very known how long it was to edit the documentary. " Editing took three weeks" Kris says. She also advises anyone who does want to produce anything to plan way ahead of time.

PINTEREST CONNECTS

Pinterest  was founded in the year of 2010 by Internet Entrepreneur, Bill Silbermann. Pinterest is an app that has a variety of different topics and interest. So many people have use this website to find different ideas for events, gifts, and more. Not only that but, to promote his or her business and programs. I have found to be rather interesting when it comes to actually finding something in a quick and a hurry. 

MY Pinterest account is build based off of my life and my accomplishments. I did this because for one I'm still in school and need to get my viewers a way to get to know me. If your interested check out my account now : My Pinterest . On my Account you will see that there are three boards with my life adventures and accomplishments. Also located on there will be my social interest as well. 

This post in particular won't be as long, I just wanted to touch bases on this app. It is a good way to see who all may have similar taste as you. The app to me is something totally new and worth it. The only thing that is kind of confusing is learning the process of trying to gain followers. Overall, everything is self explanatory.

    Founded in 2006 this social media app has pulled the entertainment minds of individuals to give his or her feedback on the latest gossip. This little app started off the same as any other social media app. However, once people started to use the app, posting pictures an memes were now old news. Twitter is a light of upcoming events, local and national news, etc. Not only that, but makes progress when broadcasting a new trend.

I've personally used twitter simply because I felt like it would give me better entertainment. Aside from Facebook letting me post what happened during my week, Instagram showing off the nice bodies of Instagram models; Twitter did both, but everything was posted in a way that drew me because I either related to it or envisioned it. Nothing was too cliché. 

Im not big on posting, but more so on retweeting and sharing with family and friends. In other words I really don't know how to use Twitter. I know, how do you not know how to use Twitter? Well it's not that easy if a person is not too social. When Twitter first came out I was only eight years old, but knew a little bit about the app. In my opinion, too many people were hyping Twitter up way too much. 

Now when I started using the app I didn't want to follow to many outside people. I did this because I wanted to gather the information (A.K.A gossip) from the highlighted source. However if I were to need raw evidence then I would look onto other peoples profiles for help. I hate follow people and be the second one or last one to know stuff, so I would follow the most trending celebrities or politicians in the media and go from there. HOLD UP NOW

Personally, I'm not the one who is all into politics, but I do find Donald Trumps tweets to be very controversial. I say this because no matter how I think of him sometimes the stuff he tweets are comical to me because it sometimes he doesn't make sense, but sometimes he tweets stuff that just makes America appalled. 

He recently posted a tweet as it reads, "There are no felonies, there are no Impeachable offenses. The Constitution's very clear that you need bribery, treason, or other high crimes and misdemeanors. You can't be impeached for the conduct that's been alleged this case @AlanDersh Dershowitz. @Seanhannity A Scam!

To me that's comical because he has push to do all of those things, but failed to think we as the Citizens of the United States would realize it. Overall, this is a good tweet considering what was going on in the media about the Impeachment allegations.

What is it to be LinkedIn?

WHAT IS IT TO BE LINKED-IN?

LinkedIn is a well know social networking site for business associate and workers looking and finding connections that can become an open door for many career choices.  I believe that this particular site blew up due to the results of each users connections. However, people do not know the exact way to catch the eye of the higher authorities.
     
        1. A perfect profile picture (casual or business professional) I personally do not have one, but with the permission in my loving cousin she provided me with hers. This is a prime example of a high professional head shot.

        2. You want your LinkedIN account to provide every piece of education you have been rewarded with, internships, and life term accomplishments.
For example, under education I would put my high school and college, as well as my college where I will be pursuing my masters degree.


   Personally, I like the fact that LINKED-IN is a way for people searching for good job quality is able to really connect people who are in the same boat. Not only that, but individuals are able to show off his or her resume publicly.

   When it come to actually connecting with someone, the commentary of them do not seem to be harsh, but more so helpful. I might be closer than I  thought I would be to the job of my dreams. However, something may be missing from my resume that I was not aware of.

  This come to taking in my responsibilities as an adult to actually do my research and find out exactly the job I'm looking at is looking for.

STAYING CONNECTED

     After building your LINKED-IN account make sure you contact the ones you've made connections with. Do not try to wait until someone reaches out to you. You want to push yourself and stay on the backs of the ones who provide the sources for your next career choice.

Know Me Love Me

What is up loves!!! I thought it was best to actually go more into depth about me.

Lets start. 

My name is Cassie Moore, I'am a junior at South Carolina State University. I'm majoring in Journalism. With this degree I pray to peruse a two-toned career as a Motivational Speaker as well as a News journalist.

Do I think all of this will happen fast in a hurry? No, I don't. It is all about working for what you want and that comes with time. In that time, I will be able to learn and gain more knowledge about where I want to be. 

My Free Time

Ever since I was a little girl I have always believed to get involved in productive activities. Just to stay out of trouble. So, throughout my lifetime, I have either embarrassed myself or became the best with whatever sport or hobby I've tried.

After a long uneducated life playing sports lol, I had found the one sport that will forever stay with me. Colorguard was something I discovered way back in seventh grade.

Today I'am still a loyal guard member of the Marching 101 Electric Silk. The love I have now compared to when I've first started has definitely grown. When I was in middle school and high school, my mindset was not as strong when it came to discipline. I let my attitude get in the way and made the whole sport look bad for me and my teammates.

However when I got a taste of that HBCU life my maturity levels has increased and I'm more open to new things and including everyone, but me. I'm soooooo very much grateful for that. 

Last But Not Least

To close this out I have one more fact about me. The fact is that I'am a lovely SisTAU of the most outstanding sorority there is. Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority Inc. All of my sorors has taught me value and determination when it comes to molding a better me. 

Above is me and my sisters on our come-out day. When I tell you guys I Love these girls to death,I mean it. Our bond is unbreakable no matter the situation.
